Responsibilities
• Design relational database models and create physical data models from logical data models.
• Implement and maintain physical databases.
• Perform tuning of Oracle databases and related application software to improve database performance.
• Communicate regularly with internal technical, applications, and operational staff, and appropriate, in order to ensure the database integrity, security and availability.
• Assist development staff with application design and efficient use of Oracle9i and installed options such as RAC and Data Guard.
• Prepare and monitor project plans and schedules for significant database related implementation and support efforts.
• Establish and implement policies and procedures for database backup and recovery.
